New release: ZEUS v0.9.2
ZEUS v0.9.2

We’re excited to share that ZEUS v0.9.2 is now widely available, including on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

This release features the ability to export transaction history, improved BIP-353 and BOLT 12 support, and hardware wallet and external signer improvements.

Export transaction history

A long anticipated feature, users are now able to export their transaction history. Users can go to the Activity view and hit the download icon in the top right corner, optionally specify a file name, and save all of their transaction history, both on-chain and lightning, complete with invoices and notes, to their device.

The files are in CSV format which can be imported with ease into spreadsheet apps such as Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice Calc.

Improved BIP-353 and BOLT 12 support

In ZEUS v0.9.0 we added support for BIP-353 addresses, a novel and privacy-friendly address format over DNS, and a new reusable Lightning invoice format called BOLT 12.

In this release we've solidified support for BIP-353 with the following improvements:

  • Fall back to BOLT 11 lightning addresses if a BIP-353 address with supported payment methods is not found
  • Support BIP-353 on-chain addresses
  • Support BOLT 12 offers encoded in BIP-21 URIs

Additionally, we've fixed some UI issues relating to BOLT 12 offers, which are currently only supported in ZEUS with remote Core Lightning nodes (we hope to have support extended soon).

Hardware wallet and external signer improvements

In v0.9.0 we introduced experimental functionality to import external accounts from hardware wallets. These external signers can be used for funding on-chain transactions, funding channel opens, and receiving funds from channel closes.

This release solidifies the functionality of external signer support, with bug fixes, and full, tested functionality with the following devices:

  • Coldcard Q
  • Foundation Passport
  • Seedsigner
  • Keystone Pro 3

ZEUS wallet export options are now available on the Coldcard Q and Foundation Passport. We hope to have the Seedsigner and Keystone Pro 3 have their firmware updated to include ZEUS wallet export options as well (for now, selecting Blue Wallet or Sparrow options from their menus will provided QR codes that ZEUS can use to scan and import these wallets).

Stay tuned for tutorials on how to use these wallets on our documentation website, shortly.

Always forward

We're well underway on work on the next major release of ZEUS. This release will add new major functionality with a focus on usability and general UX improvements.

We've also been working on some new services that we hope to reveal soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

Thank you for your continued support. More to come.
