ZEUS v0.8.5 and v0.9.0-beta
Today we're announcing two new releases of ZEUS.
First, is stable release v0.8.5, which features BOLT 12 offers and BIP-353 lightning addresses, courtesy our friends at Twelve.cash, for Core Lightning users, using the c-lightning-REST backend.
BOLT 12 is a payment upgrade for lightning that enables reusable payments without a web-server and improved receiver privacy. For more information, check out Bolt12.org.
We're excited to finally have ZEUS users test BOLT 12 in the wild, especially with several other wallets - like Phoenix and Plasma - implementing it as well.
The v0.8.5 release also includes some updates to our embedded "node in the phone", including an upgrade to LND v0.18.0-beta and Neutrino optimizations that should make for a much smoother experience for users.
ZEUS v0.8.5 is now available for download on Google Play, the Apple App Store, our self-hosted F-Droid repo, and on ZeusLN.com.
Second off, we're opening up beta testing of our next major release, v0.9.0, to the public.
v0.9.0 includes a plethora of new features and improvements to the app including:
- Our brand new Purchase channels in advance service, that will allow users to be more economical in their channel lease purchases from our LSP, Olympus
- A new interface for Core Lighting users: CLNRest - which is officially supported by the Core Lightning team
- Hardware wallet / signing device support - allowing users to craft on-chain transactions, and open and close channels to and from popular hardware wallets such as:
- Coldcard Q
- Foundation Passport
- Seedsigner
- Krux
- Keystone Pro 3
- and many others
- Watch-only account import (xpub)
- Batch channel opens + transactions
- Close channels to external addresses
- Pending HTLCs view
- A new swipe to pay component for invoices >= 10,000 sats
- A new layout that makes for quicker one-handed invoice scanning

We look forward to gathering feedback from user as we refine v0.9.0 for general release.
